Dearest readers, I'm not sure how it's happening, but my old self is definitely coming back.
The past three days are the happiest I've had in months. I usually don't get the chance to spend time with friends, and yet it seems as though that is just what I needed to regain myself and slowly but surely feel better.
Friday I went to my first football game, to sing the national anthem with the school choral group. I wanted to stay a while and see what it was all about, and who was there to surprise me but my sweet bf :D
We hung out with friends and I derped around on the fields... and it surprised me that my parents let me stay out so long! But who am I to argue with that? :)
Next day, came our Homecoming dance and of course I didn't dance as much as I think I should have, but instead got to sit and chat with my lovely date for most of the time. I mean, to me, that definitely beats senseless and unclassy grinding and not getting to see his smile. So I win. We were all dressed up and a few of my friends were there, and I freaked out because certain people WERE NICE TO ME??!? (whoa apocalypse), and WEIRD TEACHERS WERE THERE, and I saw things that should not have been seen, although I expected the dancing to be worse, honestly.
And today I woke up happy for once! Although my legs were tired and sore, I was feeling great (NO, sex was not involved, calm yourselves. [I kinda set that one up for myself, didn't I? :P ]) because I had a dream where I was united with my late grandmother and living grandfather and they told me not to worry or feel guilty about not ever getting the chance to meet her in real life and we talked...and it was sort of like closure, and I felt at peace, which I've been trying to attain from her for years. I may be a skeptic, bit I'm secretly hoping it was a sign.
And nothing really notable happened for the rest of the day because my Sundays are meh.
But everything prior to that is what made this the best weekend ever.
Seriously.
:)
